Vintage KYOSHO OPTIMA MID 4WD RC buggy car. This assembled RC car is in used, fair condition. Does not come with the control unit, receiver or servos. I assembled the kit in the mid-1980s back when I was a teenager. I could never get it to operate correctly due to the intricate design of Kyosho kit cars… I had much better luck with the Tamiya Super Shot (see my other listing). Perhaps it was too much car for a dumb teenager LOL. I enjoyed the hobby but soon lost interest. I held onto it (and a couple other RC cars) all these years with the intent of doing a rebuild/restoration but now as a family man of three young girls, it’s time to let it go :. It’s pretty dusty from being stored 30+ years. The chassis is complete. Now that I look at it, I could’ve done a much better job assembling and maintaining it but this was an expensive hobby for a teenager. The knobby tires are the originals. There is a motor installed (not sure what type). There are few parts missing including the front bumper and a few fasteners. The rear wing is broken off on the right side. What you see is what you get. Lots of valuable parts on here. I hope that someone with the time and passion can get this classic buggy going again.
