This unique vehicle is a rare 1959 Falcon Caribbean. Less that 2000 of these were created, and only a handful exist. This project was set up for street and race track use and features a number of unusual and desired vintage racing modifications. The body resembles the handsome and stylish lines of the early Lotus Elite. This body has never been mounted, cut or drilled, or painted and is essentially 1959 “new”. The chassis is that of an Austin 7 featuring Ballamy independent front suspension conversion with transverse front leaf spring, and Ballamy wheels with vintage Pirelli tyres. The engine is the English Ford 1172cc sidevalve (Ford 10), but it features the rare Elva head with I. (hi-po intake over exhaust valve) conversion, for additional power and is an amazing point of discussion. Elva dual carb intake. Aquaplane performance covers and accessories. Close ratio transmission gearing. Custom matched rear end gear ratio. This car was built to be state of the art circa 1960. Will require some assembly, fabrication and completion. Will require towing to transport. Once completed this can be a one of a kind vintage street legal sports racer like no other. This car was imported into Canada, and features left hand drive, but can easily be changed over to RHD. Work on this car was performed from 1959 to 1961, at which point the project lay dormant, and has not been worked on since. It features true performance parts of the era. The car has been amazingly preserved for the last 60 years and has been indoors it’s entire life. This vehicle has zero kilometers on it, and is basically 1959 “new”.
