Tamiya Bruiser Mountaineer Vintage Cast Aluminum 3 Speed Transmission 4X4 Scale. This is a vintage Tamiya Bruiser/Mountaineer 3 speed cast aluminum transmission. Transmission is completely intact with all original parts. Transmission shifts properly between all gears and includes shift rod. This is originally intended to be used with the 750SH motor. This does not include the rubber covers. Visual inspection suggests this is in very good condition. This was tested with modern electronics and the transmission gears appear to be functional but they have not been disassembled for thorough inspection. We have found no obvious evidence these parts wont function as expected, but we cant guarantee absolute running condition as delivered or that parts might not become damaged after being used as a functional RC vehicle. This is a vintage item and should be considered a restoration project, additional work might be required to reach perfect running condition, and further maintenance might be required to continue use. 1st gear (low speed, 4×4) – 22.7:1 2nd gear (med speed) – 10.87:1 3rd gear (high speed) – 5.2:1. Shifting rod pushed in to the transmission is third gear or Top Gear. Shifting rod in the middle position is Second Gear. Shifting rod pulled to the outer position is first gear or Low gear. Vintage Tamiya Bruiser 58048 Cast 3 Speed Transmission Mountaineer. This is a vintage Tamiya Bruiser/Mountaineer 3 speed cast aluminum transmission. Transmission is completely intact with all original parts except the rubber plugs. Transmission shifts properly between all gears. This has 5mm outdrives. This is from a Bruiser, production years 1985 to 1992. This is used and in very good condition with minor wear (see out-drives) The gears are sound and the transmission runs smoothly. 1st gear (low speed, 4×4) – 22.7:1 2nd gear (med speed) – 10.87:1 3rd gear (high speed) – 5.2:1. Tamiya Bruiser Mountaineer Cast Aluminum Front Rear Vintage Axles Crawler Scale. This is a Bruiser / Mountaineer Cast Aluminum Front & Rear Axle set from a Tamiya Bruiser / Mountaineer. Both axles have locked differentials and also have Rear Bruiser hubs installed on the front axle versus the stock “free wheel” hubs. These are excellent condition with light wear form age and use. Vintage Dayton V Belt Advertising Figures Automobile Car Part Cast Iron Composit
Very interesting pair of advertising characters – the unlabeled display is made of cast iron and the Dayton V-Belts display is made of a composite material paper mache? By Old King Cole Displays of Canton, Ohio. I was unable to find any comparable items to these and have searched extensively for vintage Dayton V-Belt advertising. The previous owner said that her father acquired them about 50 years ago, but couldn’t elaborate further. I have wondered if they were prototypes, with the cast iron figure being used as the model / mold for the one made by Old King Cole Displays. Old King Cole Displays is well-known for the displays it did for Disney in the 1930’s. If I had to take a guess at the age on these, I would say circa 1940. They measure about 22.5 tall, with the cast iron figure being slightly smaller about. 25 in several dimensions but not all. The cast iron figure is rather heavy (about 22lbs). The base is about 13″ wide by 4″ deep. The cast iron figure is in good condition with strong color and few scratches. You will notice light rust in areas, particularly along the bottom. The paper mache figure is in fair condition. You will notice some paint chipping and a small loss in the neck area. The back shows several areas that look like they’ve cracked, though none carry through to the front. Both figures looks like they are meant to be holding something in their right hand and have a hole. I have not tried to clean these and have simply lightly brushed them off. As such, they could use a good cleaning. Please let me know if you have any questions and thank you for your time.
