Thorp Dirt Burners #4581 Optional Ball Differential for Tamiya 1/10 FOX 2WD Buggy. This listing is for an ultra rare vintage Thorp Dirt Burners #4581 Optional Ball Differential for Tamiya 1/10 FOX 2WD Buggy! The set pictured is for use with the optional slotted axles for Thorp’s very own dog-bone drive shafts only! But if you would like the set that uses the standard hex drive shafts, just simply ask and we’ll replace it with those! We will be including a pair of blue sealed ball bearings as well! All of our Thorp Dirt Burners parts are brand new and never used as shown in the photos! These new ball diffs all come with an updated bulletproof Delrin profiled main diff gear as you can see from the pictures. The (#4506) original plastic nylon ones chip and break quite easily with todays high powered brushless motors. The outdrives-universals are also now made of stronger stainless steel which is similar to Tamiyas of today. Replace your old stripped & worn out internal differential with this high performance optional part from THORP Mfg! You know these last a lot longer than anything else as they were all MADE IN USA! We have one vintage RC10 that’s been converted to dirt oval using a rare JG oval conversion kit. JG shock towers and rear body mount. The RC10 pan has been powder coated. Original six gear completely rebuilt with new bearings and re-re idlers. All vintage suspension arms, nos rear and restored front. Re-re bulkhead and new re-re shocks. Vinrage aluminum wheels have been restored and they are flawless with new tires. Tire decals have cracked and will need to be replaced. NOS Paragon mod motor. Lunsford titanium turnbuckles on all corners plus ti fatboy motor screws. Vintage MIP ball bearing cranks. Bolink body is trimmed to perfection. Flaws, two screws have rusted on the battery hold down and the spring for the diff has gotten rusty. Lots of time in this car and hate to see it go, I’m sticking to 1/12 from now on so go it must! Back to the 1980’s! These were the shiz nizzle back in the day. Anyway, I bought these thinking I was going to relive my youth but I have decided to do other things. In this lot you are getting two used complete rollers. They are in good shape but will need complete going through. They are in average used condition with scrapes and such from being run. Nothing appears broken or destroyed on them. You are also getting all sorts of used and NOS parts. See the pics to see what you are getting. No bodies are included or electronics except for the one servo. I have no idea on the condition of it. I was going to make one runner from the two and have one shelfer using the worst of the two sets of parts. Whatever you want to do, these don’t come up for sale too often. Low start, no reserve.
