Up for grabs is this super cool vintage Superior “the 500″ metal flake custom steering wheel. Approx 14.5 diameter Lite aqua? /green color (see photos) This is used but still in very good shape for the age. The rim has No cuts or splitting just some light sun fade (see pics) The chrome has No pitting or rust and minimal wear. Overall not perfect, but still a great original Kustom wheel for your cruiser Take a look. See all 10 photos for close-up look. This wheel uses the common 3 bolt mounting hub which is still available for most cars through Grant, Moon and others. The wheel does show some age; as the rubber has some cracks and the chrome has some light oxidation and pits. This is the real deal from the day and would look great on that traditional hotrod. Here we have for sale an Original 1940s 17 Bell Auto Parts Sprint Car Steering Wheel. Condition is Used and in good shape for its age. This is the exact wheel hot rodders would put on their cars back in the 1940s. This is the perfect period correct hot rod steering wheel. It shows a good amount of patina but the rubber is still in good shape too but the rubber is chipped in areas around where the spokes meet the rim. There is some repairs done to in the mounting surface of the wheel. Would be perfect on your patinad hot rod. Please ask any and all questions that you might have. Vintage Banjo Steering Wheel. Diameter of outside edges of the steering wheel handle – 17 1/8. Diameter of inside edges of steering wheel – 15 3/4. Length of hub face, to most distant edge at base – Just short of 3″, about 2 7/8″. Diameter of top of steering column opening – 2 1/2 or just a bit under. Diameter of back of steering column opening- 3/4 inches. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you you have any questions at all. This steering wheel has been in the home, in storage for decades, Indianapolis, Indiana. The metal is solid and firm. I did a gentle dusting. Steering wheel has: scuffs, patina, scratches, chips, lint, cracks, pitting, crazing, soiling, dust, dots of paint and glue, gaps in the steering wheel handle, and wear. It looks like the darker areas on the steering wheel are due to the steering wheel having been exposed to fire. This beautiful steering wheel would make a nice piece for display, or as a restoration project for your car. Your vintage steering wheel will be very carefully packaged.
